The list view

The List view is the same project as a table: one row per card, one column per field. Where the Kanban shows status, the List lets you compare, sort and change many cards at once.

The columns

Out of the box you get Card, List, Labels, Members, Date and Time. Columns are configurable: show only what matters to you — status, owner, dates, time spent — and drop the rest.

Rows come grouped by list, with the group name and its count, and the table footer carries the project's total task count. You can untick the group-by-list box, and you can also group by label or by owner.

Sorting and filtering

Click a header to sort by that field, and reach for the filters once the project holds more cards than fit on a screen.

This is where the awkward questions get answered: what is overdue, what has no owner, how many hours each client has soaked up so far.

Bulk actions

Every row has a checkbox. Tick several and change their status, owner or date in one go instead of opening twenty cards in a row. That is the main reason to work in List rather than on the board.

Getting the data out

The table footer has a button to export to CSV. PDF and CSV reports are not on every plan, so check the pricing table to see where yours stands.

What the List does not do

• It does not show time passing. The date is a column, not a position: you see no overlaps and no gaps. That is what Gantt is for.
• It does not show one day's load. Ten tasks due the same Thursday are ten identical rows. That is what Calendar is for.

What it does do, exactly like the Kanban: one click on any row opens the card's full detail, with its time, attachments and comments.
