Invite your team

How people join the workspace, what each role can do, and how to deactivate someone without losing their work.

People management lives in the Team view, which is an admin view: only those with permission to administer can see it.

The three roles

  • Admin. Can invite people, change roles, deactivate members and change workspace settings. Also does everything an editor does.
  • Editor. Does the work: creates and moves cards, comments, logs hours, writes notes. This is the role for most of the team.
  • Viewer. Sees the work but does not change it. This is the role for someone who needs to follow a project without taking part in it.

How to invite

  1. Open the Team view.
  2. Press Create user and fill in name, email and department.
  3. Pick the role. If in doubt start with editor: promoting to admin later is one click.

Deactivating someone

In the team table every person has an active/inactive switch. Deactivating deletes nothing: their cards, comments and logged hours stay exactly where they were, with their name on them. They simply lose access.

That is what you want when somebody leaves the team and you need to keep the project history, which is almost always.

⚠️

Cost depends on users

The Team and Business plans are billed per user, so deactivating someone is also how you stop paying for that seat. Check the pricing table for what applies to your plan.

What each role sees

All three roles see the same projects in the workspace. Tasuki does not separate work per person: it separates what each person can do with it.
