Time reports and balance
The four figures in the weekly attendance summary, the per-day breakdown and the total for logged hours. Plus what to check before exporting.
Tasuki has two time summaries, one for each thing it measures: the clock-in summary, which compares the working day against contracted hours, and the time tracking summary, which adds up the hours spent on tasks and projects. Read them separately.
The four figures in the weekly summary
In the Clock-in view, above the table of days:
- Hours worked: what was clocked that week, breaks already subtracted. In the demo, 32h 45m.
- Contracted hours: what the full week owes, with the daily figure underneath (40h 00m, 8h/day).
- Balance: the difference, positive or negative. In the demo, -1h 15m.
- Exceptions: how many days have something left open, with the reason («1 missing clock-out»).
The balance is not measured against the whole week
Look at the small print under the figure: in the demo the balance is calculated «vs. 34h theoretical», not against the 40h, because Friday is still running. Mid-week, a large negative balance is usually that rather than a real problem. Read it when the period closes.
The per-day breakdown
Every row of the week carries the clock-in, the clock-out, the total break, the day's total and the status. Hover and you get the day's card: full date, the clock-in, the break with its start and end times, the clock-out, the day's total, a note on what happened — a shorter break than usual, fifteen minutes of overtime carried into the weekly balance, a missing clock-out — and the person it belongs to.
Before you export anything, go down the Status column: a day with no clock-out enters the report with the gap inside it.
The time tracking summary
In the Time tracking view the maths is different. You pick a date range and get the number of entries, the total for the period and the hours grouped by day, with each day's total on the right. This is the number that looks like an invoice, not like a payslip.
Inside a card the same information is seen per piece of work: total logged, your share, the estimate and the percentage consumed. A percentage above 100 before delivery means one of two things, and both are worth knowing early: the estimate was wrong, or the scope grew along the way.
Getting the report
Tasuki generates hour reports by project or by member, and exports the attendance record per employee and period. Exportable reports are included from the Team plan onwards; check the pricing table for what applies to yours.
A report cannot fix the data
If the team logs hours roughly and forgets to clock out, the report will come out just as punctual and just as wrong. Quality is earned on the day, on the card and on the clock-out button.
What next
If the habit is what is failing, go back to Logging hours against tasks and Clocking in your workday. Who can see and administer this data is decided by the workspace roles, covered in Invite your team.
