Clocking in your workday
Clock in, break and clock out, the week in one table, and what happens when an entry is missing. Available from the Team plan onwards.
Clock-in records each person's working day: what time they start, when they take a break, when they finish and how many hours that adds up to. It is the attendance record Spanish law has required since RD-ley 8/2019, and in Tasuki it lives in its own Clock-in view, apart from the hours you log against tasks.
Not the same as logging hours
Clock-in says **when** you were working; time tracking says **what** you were working on. A day with 8h clocked and 6h logged against tasks is no contradiction: meetings, training or a broken server belong to no client. Do not try to make the two numbers match.
Clocking in
- Clock in when the day starts. One click, from the browser or from your phone.
- Break, with a start and an end. Tasuki subtracts it from the day's total.
- Clock out when you finish.
Every entry stores its exact time and stays tied to the person who made it.
While the day is open, a workday in progress bar sits at the top with your name, your start time, a running timer and the Clock out button.
The week at a glance
Below it the week is a table of six columns: Day, In, Out, Break, Total and Status. There are three statuses:
- Complete: in and out both recorded, day closed.
- In progress: today. The total keeps climbing until you clock out.
- Exception: something is missing, usually the clock-out.
Hover over any day for the breakdown: full date, clock-in, the break with its start and end, clock-out, the day's total and a note on what happened that day.
When an entry is missing
A missing clock-out shows in red, with a dash where the time should be, and the day is flagged as an exception stating the time it was closed automatically. That day does not hold your real hours, and the weekly balance carries the error.
Fix it straight away, not on the last day of the month: the longer you leave it, the less you remember about when you actually went home.
Who is clocked in right now
The footer of the view lists the people in the workspace with a green dot if they are in and their start time, plus the day's count («2 of 3 clocked in»). It tells you who you can count on this morning without asking in chat.
From the Team plan
From the Team plan onwards
Clock-in is included from the Team plan up. Check the pricing table to see what your plan covers.
On compliance
Tasuki keeps the daily record and exports it per employee and per period whenever you ask for it. What the law obliges you to keep, for how long, and how that fits your collective agreement is not for this guide to decide: ask your company's advisers. Here we only document the tool.
What next
The weekly figures — hours worked, contracted hours, balance and exceptions — and the per-day breakdown are explained one by one in Time reports and balance.
